Der Pianist Andrej Hovrin, geboren in Samara (Russland), studierte an den Musikhochschulen in Petrozawodsk und Stuttgart.
Neben seinen Tätigkeiten als Opernkorrepetitor und Sprachcoach für Russisch ist Andrej Hovrin als Liedbegleiter in ganz Europa und den USA unterwegs. Er begleitet bei internationalen Gesangskursen, wie dem Opernstudio der Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, der Sommerakademie Mozarteum in Salzburg und der Härnösand Opera Academy (Schweden). Zudem begleitet Andrej Hovrin den Europäischen Gesangswettbewerb DEBUT und den Internationalen Gesangswettbewerb der Kammeroper Schloss Weikersheim. Weitere Gesangskurse führten Andrej Hovrin nach Island, Frankreich, Griechenland und in die USA.
Er arbeitet mit namhaften GesangslehrerInnen wie u. a. Julia Hamari, George Shirley, Vladimir Chernov, Luba Orgonasova, Mya Besselink, Neil Semer, Roberta Cunningham, John Norris, Monika Bürgener, Michaela Krämer, Thomas J. Meyer, Kerstin Schötteldreier und Caroline Stein zusammen.
Gastspiele führten Andrej Hovrin ans Theater Bremen, das Aalto-Musiktheater Essen, das Konzerthaus Berlin, an die Oper La Monnaie in Brüssel, das Mainfranken Theater Würzburg, das Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, das National Theatre in Abu-Dhabi, an die Megaron Athens Concert Hall, die griechische Nationaloper in Athen, die Staatsoper Stuttgart, die Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, die Komische Oper Berlin und zu zahlreichen Festivals. Mit der Produktion von Schönbergs Erwartung(Regie: Calixto Bieito) und der litauischen Sopranistin Ausrine Stundyte gastierte er als Pianist und Musikalischer Leiter in Spanien, Litauen und Italien.
Er ist als Dozent an den Musikhochschulen Hannover, Petrozawodsk und Würzburg tätig.

The pianist Andrej Hovrin, born in Samara (Russia), studied at the music academies in Petrozavodsk and Stuttgart.
In addition to his work as an accompanist and language coach for Russian, Andrej Hovrin has travelled throughout Europe and the USA as Lied-accompanist. He accompanies at international master classes, such as the opera studio of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, the Mozarteum Summer Academy in Salzburg and the Härnösand Opera Academy (Sweden). Andrej Hovrin is regulary collaborating with the European Voice Competition DEBUT and the International Voice Competition of the Kammeroper Schloss Weikersheim. Other singing courses have taken Andrej Hovrin to Iceland, France, Greece and the USA.
He works with renowned singing teachers such as Julia Hamari, George Shirley, Vladimir Chernov, Luba Orgonasova, Mya Besselink, Neil Semer, Roberta Cunningham, John Norris, Monika Bürgener, Michaela Krämer, Thomas J. Meyer, Kerstin Schötteldreier and Caroline Stein.
Guest performances have taken Andrej Hovrin to the Bremen Theatre, the Aalto-Musiktheater Essen, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the La Monnaie Opera in Brussels, the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg, the Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, the National Theatre in Abu Dhabi, the Megaron Athens Concert Hall, the Greek National Opera in Athens, the Stuttgart State Opera, the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, the Komische Oper Berlin and numerous festivals.
