Den Auftakt der Saison 2024/25 machte für den kroatischen Bass Goran Jurić die Oper Lady Macbeth von Mzensk am Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, wo er den Popen sang. An seinem Stammhaus, der Staatsoper Stuttgart, wo er seit 2018/19 dem Ensemble angehört, stehen Der Freischütz, Die Zauberflöte, Rusalka, wie auch die Neuproduktionen von Prokofjews Der Spieler und Verdis Otello auf dem Programm. Beim Festival in Savonlinna 2025 wird er als Banco in Verdis Macbeth zu erleben sein.

In der letzten Saison war der Künstler u. a. in Rigoletto, Die Zauberflöte und Das Rheingold in Stuttgart zu hören. Gastengagements führten ihn mit Lady Macbeth von Mzensk nach Boston und New York, mit seinem Partiedebüt als Don Ruy Gomez de Silva in Verdis Ernani an die Bregenzer Festspiele sowie als Banco an die Blackwater Valley Opera Festival nach Dublin.

Zu weiteren Highlights der jüngeren Vergangenheit zählen Daland in Der fliegende Holländer in Bologna, Oroveso in Norma in Stuttgart, Dresden und in Martina Franca. Am Teatro Real Madrid war er als Don Fernando in Fidelio sowie König Heinrich in Lohengrin zu erleben. In Rom war er derInquisitor in Prokofjews Der feurige Engel und Sparafucil in Verdis Rigoletto. Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte und Colline in La Bohème sang er in Stuttgart, Florenz, Toronto und Venedig. An den Bregenzer Festspielen sang er die Titelpartie in Rossinis Mosè in Egitto, die gleiche Partie führte ihn auch nach Neapel wo er ebenfalls als Pope in Schostakowitschs Lady Macbeth von Mzensk zu hören war. Ein weiteres Gastengagement als Mendoza in Prokofjews Die Verlobung im Kloster führten ihn an die Staatsoper Berlin. An seinem Stammhaus in Stuttgart sang er u. a. Hunding in Die Walküre, Wassermann in Rusalka, Roi in L’amour des trois oranges, Philippe in Don Carlos und Pimen in Boris Godunow.

Von 2011 bis 2017 war der Künstler Ensemblemitglied an der Bayerischen Staatsoper München, wo er u. a. Il Rè in Aida, Commendatore in Don Giovanni, Timur in Turandot, Ferrando in Il trovatore, Walter Fuerst in Guillaume Tell und Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor erarbeitet hat.

Die «Croatian Association of Drama Artists» hat ihn kürzlich als «besten männlichen Darsteller» für seine Interpretation des Wotan in Das Rheingold an der Oper von Rijeka ausgezeichnet.

Auf dem Konzertpodium gastierte Goran Jurić mit Beethovens 9. Sinfonie in Neapel und mit Kodálys Te Deum – Budaváry in München. Zum weiteren Konzertrepertoire zählen u. a. Honeggers Jeanne d'Arc au Bûcher, Schuberts Es-Dur Messe, Händels Dettinger Te Deum und Messias, Charpentiers Te Deum, Mozarts Requiem und Haydns Nelson Messe.

Der Künstler arbeitet mit DirigentInnen wie Kirill Petrenko, Marco Armiliato, Bertrand de Billy, Daniele Callegari, Paolo Carignani, Daniele Gatti, Hartmut Haenchen, Vladimir Jurowski, Oksana Lyniv, Fabio Luisi, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Kent Nagano, Daniele Rustioni, Robin Ticciati, Juraj Valčuha.

Goran Jurić studierte an der Musikakademie der Universität von Zagreb bei Vlatka Oršanić und ist Preisträger internationaler Gesangswettbewerbe.

The Croatian bass Goran Jurić started the season 2024/25 with the opera Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk at the Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, where he sang the Pope. Goran Jurić made guest appearances in concert performances with Beethoven's 9th Symphony in Naples and with Kodály's Te Deum - Budaváry in Munich. His other concert repertoire includes Honegger's Jeanne d'Arc au Bûcher, Schubert's Mass in E flat major, Handel's Dettinger Te Deum and Messiah, Charpentier's Te Deum, Mozart's Requiem and Haydn's Nelson Mass.
